ST. GEORGES, Del. (AP) - Delaware authorities continue to search for the body of a 6-year-old boy whose two brothers and cousin were found dead after their car plunged into a canal.

Eric Lindsey said his 12-year-old son Eric Jr. died in Sunday's accident, along with cousins 18-year-old Willis Lindsey Jr. and 16-year-old Kyree Lindsey.

Authorities searched Monday for the body of a third brother, 6-year-old Ethan Lindsey.

QUANTICO, Va. (AP) - Authorities have launched a search for two men after their boat capsized in the Potomac River in northern Virginia.

Coast Guard officials say a tugboat crew saw the boat capsize Sunday about a mile south of Leesylvania State Park but could not locate the men by the time they got to the area where the boat capsized.

The search for missing victim of a plane crash near Assateague State Park resumed yesterday.

The search had been called off on March 1st after the body of a man was recovered and a nor’easter hit the Delmarva region.

Maryland State Police have been working closely with the Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board.

Two people were aboard the plane when it crashed.

The clothing of the body that was recovered closely matched that of the pilot.

BALTIMORE (AP) - Maryland Natural Resources Police say the search for the body of a man who dove off his boat in the Chesapeake Bay will resume in the morning.

NRP tweeted saying recovery teams suspended the search around 8:30 p.m. Wednesday after the boater went missing near Hart-Miller Island shortly after 6 p.m.

Baltimore County public safety officials tweeted saying their police and firefighters assisted in the search along with the U.S. Coast Guard, and that NRP will lead the investigation.

Additional details including the man's name were not released.

There was a search under way last night for a waterman who went overboard around 5 miles of Tangier Island.

The incident occurred around early afternoon when the U.S. Coast Guard received a report that a 40 foot crabbing boat was taking on water.

WBOC reports that the island’s Mayor James Eskridge said the man and his son went overboard and that they were not wearing life jackets.

The Coast Guard said that the son was rescued by another boat.

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) - Although possession of small amounts of marijuana has been decriminalized in Maryland, the state's highest court has ruled that police can still search a car without a warrant if they smell pot.

The Baltimore Sun reports that the Court of Appeals issued the unanimous opinion on Friday. Judge Shirley Watts wrote that "decriminalization is not synonymous with legalization, and possession of marijuana remains unlawful."

The U.S Coast Guard and other agencies are now searching the waters of the Choptank River for a 63 year old Easton man whose boat ran aground off Riverpoint Road last night.

WBOC reports that a spokesperson for the Maryland Natural Resources Police said the incident involved a 27-foot cabin cruiser near Cambridge sometime around 7:30 p.m.

The television station reports that the search resumed this morning and covers the area from La Trappe Creek and Tood Point to the mouth of the Choptank.

The man’s identity has not been released.

PORTSMOUTH, Va. (AP) - The Coast Guard has suspended its search for a 50-year-old captain of a fishing vessel who apparently fell overboard east of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel.

Crew from the 31-foot boat called the Coast Guard on Sunday to report Richard Nee missing. The boat was anchored south of Fisherman's Island near the entrance of the Chesapeake Bay.

Crew members said they believed Nee fell overboard while they were sleeping late Saturday or early Sunday.

The captain of a fishing vessel is believed to have fallen overboard after officials in Portsmouth, Virginia got word from two crew members.

The Salisbury Daily Times reports that the 31-foot boat was anchored just south of Fisherman’s Island and east of the Chesapeake Bay-Bridge Tunnel.

The U.S. Coast Guard is now searching for the captain who is believed to have fallen into the water sometime late Saturday night or early Sunday morning.

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) - Police say one man is missing after a 17-foot sailboat sank in the Chesapeake Bay near the Bay Bridge.
Maryland Natural Resources Police spokeswoman Candy Thomson says the boat ran into trouble around noon on Sunday. She says it sank so fast that the six people on board didn't have time to put on life jackets.
Thomson says another boater nearby came to their aid and pulled five people from the water. She says the boaters reported that they saw the missing man go under the water and did not see him resurface.

The U.S. Coast Guard is searching for a missing 15-year old boy who was last seen struggling against the current off Cape Charles on Sunday night.

The incident occurred around 6:30 p.m. when a man who emerged fatigued from the water who said he was with a boy who apparently is now missing.

The Salisbury Daily Times reports that the Coast Guard has a 25 foot boat from Station Cape Charles as well as a helicopter from Air Station Elizabeth City involved in the search.

The New Castle County Police will be getting another piece of equipment in their arsenal.

By the end of the month the county council is expected to approve $52-thousand to add a drone to the force.

It will provide images for police during emergency situations. The Wilmington News Journal reports that the funds will go for staffing find the right model, training four employees and obtaining equipment and spare parts.

Police Captain Pat Crowell told the paper that the drone can be used in searching for missing persons as well as getting an assessment of large crowds.

ELLICOTT CITY, Md. (AP) - Police are searching for a 21-year-old swimmer they say jumped in the water at Patapsco Valley State Park and did not resurface.

Authorities say the man disappeared Sunday into the waters below Bloede's Dam. They are treating the situation as a recovery. The Maryland Natural Resource Police say they stopped searching Sunday night, but will resume the search Monday.

The man's name has not been released.

Authorities say the area has signs that say "no swimming."

CHINCOTEAGUE, Va. (AP) - The Coast Guard has suspended the search for a pilot who lost consciousness and crashed a small airplane into the Atlantic Ocean off the Virginia shore.

Petty Officer Nate Littlejohn says the search was halted Sunday morning after a civilian boater recovered a wheel and engine cowling from the single-engine Cirrus. Littlejohn says the chances of finding anything else were slim.
