DOVER, Del. (AP) - A judge who granted Walgreens' motion to dismiss in Delaware's lawsuit against the drug industry over the opioid crisis has denied the state's request for reargument.

The judge said Wednesday that she did not overlook a controlling legal principle or misapprehend the law in dismissing Walgreens.

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) - Maryland Attorney General Brian Frosh says he doesn't support a tentative multistate settlement with OxyContin maker Purdue Pharma and the family that owns the company.

Frosh said Wednesday in a telephone interview that Maryland has not joined states that have reached a tentative deal.

He says what's on the table doesn't begin "to compensate for the damage that was done by the Purdue company and the Sackler family."

About half the states reached a tentative deal with Purdue Pharma over its role in the nation's deadly opioid epidemic.

DOVER, Del. (AP) - Delaware's attorney general is suing members of the family that controls OxyContin maker Purdue Pharma, accusing them of consumer fraud, negligence and creating a public nuisance.

Monday's court filing follows more than a dozen similar lawsuits by other state attorneys general targeting members of the Sackler family.

The Delaware lawsuit alleges that the Sacklers led Purdue Pharma's false and deceptive marketing of opioid painkillers, lining their pockets while contributing to a nationwide epidemic of drug addiction and overdoses.
