VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (AP) - Some are calling for the removal of another Confederate monument in Virginia.

The Virginian-Pilot reports that a rally is scheduled for Thursday afternoon to demand the removal of a Confederate soldier statue in Virginia Beach.

Confederate veterans built the 27-foot-tall structure in the early 1900s. It's located near a former county courthouse that now serves as city office space.
