Sussex County has opened up several overnight shelters as the temperatures begin to drop.
The county expected to keep nine shelters open very night through March 15th.
WBOC reports that the county is facing the problem of having enough overnight volunteers to staff the shelters.
Code Purple County Executive Director Nikki Gonzalez told the television station that Milford may not open because of the staffing problem and that Georgetown is also in what has been called critical condition.
Meanwhile, around a hundred people are expected to seek overnight shelter with many of the shelters only holding around 14 while others will accommodate 30.
