Bank of America Bringing Jobs to Delaware

Feb 17, 2012

The Bank of America could give Delaware’s economy a boost 500 additional jobs…at its credit card business over the next three years.

The announcement comes even as the financial institution has been downsizing its workforce.

Chip Rossi, the bank’s Delaware Market president, hailed the move telling the Wilmington News Journal that this was a great day for the state.

The additional jobs will be mainly at the bank’s suburban call center and back-office operations facility and would help counter trends toward lower employment in Delaware’s crucial financial services sector.

In addition, Bank of America also decided to donate one of its four downtown office high-rises as a home for high-performing arts in Wilmington.

Rossi emphasized that no jobs will be lost as a result of the donation.
