A 16-year-old has been arrested after threats of violence against the North Dorchester High School that were posted on Snapchat.

The Dorchester Sheriff’s Office says that the juvenile has been charged with the threat of mass violence and disturbing school activities.

The Snapchat posting showed an image of a person holding a firearm along with other firearms.

In addition, it contained a threatening message.

The Salisbury Daily Times reports the authorities say the juvenile was uncooperative during the investigation but that no weapons were found at the juvenile’s home.

School officials assured parents action would be taken once the investigation is completed and thanked them for keeping the school safe.
