WSCL, 89.5 FM is back on the air as of 3PM, October 19th, thanks to the hard work of Bruce Blanchard, Chief Engineer for Delmarva Public Radio, Ray Fantini and Bob Freeborn. 

On 10/18/12 at 9:00 AM , the WSCL, 89.5 transmitter will be temporarily taken off air to allow our Engineer to make repairs. We hope to return to the air as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Just Folks is Delmarva Public Radio's weekly three hour folk music program. Every Saturday evening from 8 until 11:00 p.m., Just Folks--since December 21, 1991--presents the very best music, with new releases and old favorites. Hosted by John Kalb, the focus of the program is often on new and recent releases while frequently dipping into classic recordings from way back. John does his best to put together three hours of music he hopes will move you, entice you, amuse you and make you think every Saturday night.

Vinyl Classics

Remember listening to classical music on vinyl, long playing records? There was a depth and a sound unlike any other. Our newest series, Vinyl Classics, does just that. It returns you to the sound of classical music on vinyl. As host Pete Kosinski says, “It’s something so old it’s new”. Thanks to WSCL’s extensive vinyl, long playing record album collection, we will broadcast classical music as you once heard it, and will hear it again.

Our Fall Drive begins Friday, October 5th at 6am. The drive continues Monday, October 8th and runs through Friday, October 12th. “Now is the Time” to show your support for Delmarva Public Radio and the stations you’ve come to love and count on every day.

We all think we know how we would we react if our son our daughter came out as gay. This week, we chat with Jackie's Aunt Lynne, who knows first hand about it.

An open meeting for public comment regarding the future of Delmarva Public Radio will be held Tuesday, October 16, at 6:30 p.m. in the Wicomico Room of the Guerrieri University Center at Salisbury University.

Our thirtieth show! This week, we chat about age appropriate chores. Should a five year old be cooking? Should a two year be able to pick up his or her toys? We'll find out how we measure up this week.

We look for ways this week to help our kids  get involved with the community with guest Kari Hoffman, Wicomico Middle School Special Education teacher and Student Learning Coordinator.  Also, an epic saga involving a tooth is our "Mom of the Month" story.

The Ad Hoc Touring Company joins local historians in commemorating the War of 1812 on WSCL, 89.5FM  in a broadcast on Saturday, August 25th at 4PM.

When should you prepare your child (and yourself) for college? How are you going to afford it? Where are they going to go? We sit down this week with the Delmarva Education Foundation's Dianne Johnson for some good advice.


Looking for a fun summer getaway? How about spending four nights via the magic of radio in Salzburg, Austria, the city of Mozart's birth!  Join us at 6PM the week of August 6-10th for The Mozart Festival from APM.  You'll hear performances of Mozart's works as well as backstage interviews with the performers. You can hear the program Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. On Delmarva will air Wednesday evening as scheduled.
