The Dover Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Donald Buxton will open its 2018-2019 season on Saturday, October 13, 2018. The concert will begin at 3:00 p.m. at Calvary Church on East Lebanon Road in Dover. “Baroque and Beyond” features works of two baroque era composers: Bach's “Violin Concerto” with solo work performed by Concertmaster Stefan Xhori, and Handel's “Water Music Suite.” The program will conclude with a performance of Mozart’s “Symphony No. 40” making the transition into the early classical period. Again this season, sweet treats will be sold at our Bake Sale. Season tickets are available: Adults--$75, Seniors/Students/Military/First Responders--$55. Single tickets are also available for all concerts. Prices are Adults--$20, Seniors (62+)/ Students/Military/First Responders--$15. First responders include all police, fire, EMT, ambulance, corrections, and animal rescue personnel in the area. Young people under 18 are always free with a paying adult.
