     An interview with Dr. Rosemary Thomas, Salisbury University's Vice President of Advancement and Executive Director of the Salisbury University Foundation. Just days after announcing her departure, Dr. Thomas discusses her role in shaping the University's "culture of philanthropy" and expanding SU's campus footprint. 

     After 15 years of service to the Worcester County Public School District, Superintendent Jon Andes announced at a board meeting on Tuesday, that he will retire at the end of the school year.

     During his 15 year tenure, he lead Worcester County  to become the Maryland school district with the highest concentration of Blue Ribbon schools, which is a national honor. Worcester County has also held a 95% graduation rate.

     After 36 years in public education, June 30 will be Andes'  last day.

    Over 8,000 cyclists went the distance on Saturday, all 65 and 100 miles worth,  for the Sea Gull Century on October 15. The 23rd annual event, which is sponsored by Salisbury University, gathered people from 42 U.S. states and several countries, including Australia. The Sea Gull Century is a fundraising opportunity for several charities and the one-day event brings in an estimated $2.5 million in tourism revenue for Wicomico County.

    I spoke to a group of cyclists as they prepared for their 100 mile trip, which stretched through Somerset, Wicomico and Worcester counties. The three friends had completed more than 30 Sea Gull Centuries between them.

Salisbury. MD – It is expected to take two years to repair The Kathryn before the skipjack can once again join the annual race off Deal Island. Captain Stoney Whitelock recounts the vessel taking on water during this year's event and his inspiration for buying her in the first place.

Salisbury, MD – After six years of repairs, "The Ida May" returned to the skipjack races off of Deal Island. In this portrait of the vessel, the Gladden brothers describe their efforts to refurbish the boat built in 1906 as a tribute to their late father.
