After 15 years of service to the Worcester County Public School District, Superintendent Jon Andes announced at a board meeting on Tuesday, that he will retire at the end of the school year.
During his 15 year tenure, he lead Worcester County to become the Maryland school district with the highest concentration of Blue Ribbon schools, which is a national honor. Worcester County has also held a 95% graduation rate.
After 36 years in public education, June 30 will be Andes' last day.
