And the big news was all about tuna.
The Salisbury Daily Times reports that Chuck Matatall of New York brought in a 73.5 pound tuna putting him in first place.
If he maintains that lead that will mean a $470-thousand prize.
Meanwhile, Jimmy “Jet Lag” Jones of Slaughter Beach pulled in a 59 pound white marlin but failed to meet the 70 pound requirement.
There were 129 boats that went out yesterday the least number since the beginning of the 45th annual tournament.
