visitmaryland.com

Trimper Amusement park is celebrating its 125th anniversary established in 1893.

Its ownership has lasted through five generations.

The Salisbury Daily Times reports that National Amusement Park Historical Association said that amusement park is noted for the carousel first built in 1912 and has been in operation ever since.

Sandy Hurley, the curator of the Ocean City Lifesaving Museum, called the carousel a work of art adding that she recalls growing up with the ride.

The Association also honored the park for its Haunted House and Pirates Cove attractions.

The amusement park is the second longest-continuous ownership of any in the world.
