all free download

It’s snow time on Delmarva.

In Delaware New Castle County could get as much as 12-to-18 inches before the storm moves off on tonight.

Kent County is expected to see 6-to-8 inches while Sussex County could receive as much as 4-to-6 inches.

Governor John Carney has issued a state of emergency that will allow Delaware National Guard Units to assist with the response to the storm.

Many schools are also closed. (WBOC) Wicomico County public schools are closing two hours early because of the inclement weather.

Delmarva Power President Gary Stockbridge told the Wilmington News Journal that he expect the nor’easter could be as severe as the one that hit in early March when 200-thousand customers were left without power.

Meanwhile, the Delaware Department of Transportation says there is 36-thousand tons of salt on hand and 400 pieces of equipment to handle the snow.

Top priorities for Delaware authorities are interstates 95 and 495.
