Slaughter Beach Marsh to Get Extended Boardwalk

Facebook

Delaware state officials broke ground for the Marvel Saltmarsh Preserve Boardwalk along Slaughter Beach.

WBOC reports that currently there are wooden pallets that provide a pathway for people that only go a few feet into the marsh.

The boardwalk will be Y-shaped with a total of around 345 feet.

Governor John Carney said that this will provide a scenic overlook for tourists to view the landscape and diverse wildlife.

The project costs more than $400-thousand and should be completed by the Spring or Summer of next year.
