A rocket launch is set for 7:30 this evening from the Wallops Flight Facility when the Air Force and NASA will attempt to put 29 tiny satellites into orbit.
The launch is expected to be seen by much of the East Coast.
Orbital Sciences Corporation rocket will carry an ordinary smartphone that has been converted by NASA and another built by students at Thomas Jefferson High School in Alexandria, Virginia.
WBOC reports that the backup date is November 26th.
