Pocomoke City Police Chief Resigns

Pocomoke City website

William Harden has resigned as police chief of Pocomoke City saying it was the result of “differences in the direction and philosophy.”

The Salisbury Daily Times reports that he announced his decision to leave on the department’s Facebook page.

His resignation was effective June 8th.

The paper reports that City Manager Robert Cowger said that Harden’s decision was by mutual agreement but did not go beyond on that.

Harden was appointed the town’s police chief in September 2015 after then Pocomoke City Police Chief Kelvin Sewell was dismissed over his supervision of the department.
