Students from Richard Montgomery High in Rockville, Maryland rallied in the nation’s capital calling for stronger gun control legislation.

In their protest in front of the White House Daniel Gelillo, a senior at the school, said that student must pressure lawmakers to force them to act on gun control.

He told the Associated Press that until now nothing had an impact on lawmakers.

Gelillo noted that there had been a number of shootings from Orlando and Las Vegas to now the high school in Parkland that left 17 people dead.

He added that innocent people are dying from firearms in the country.
