Jellyfish Festival Makes Pitch to Ocean City

Jellyfish Festival logo

There could be a new event for Ocean City.

It’s called the Jellyfish Festival and it could replace the Dew Tour which decided not to continue on in the resort.

The Salisbury Daily Times reports that the new event would include action sports events such as skating and surfing along with music.

There would be different themes each night such as classic rock and, perhaps, on Sunday Christian music.

The organizers told the Ocean City officials that they would like to hold the event near the Boardwalk from June 21st to the 23rd of next year.

Susan Jones, executive director of the Ocean City Hotel-Motel-Restaurant Association, told the Daily Times that the event would boost local economic activity giving tourists a special reason to come to the resort.
