123rf.com

Fifteen year old Jorgens Sydney has been identified as the boy who died last Thursday night after a police chase that led to his car crashing into a utility pole near the intersection of Camden Avenue and Pine Bluff road.

Grief counselors at James M Bennett High School were on hand yesterday…talk about the death the student.

Salisbury Police Department Chief Barbara Duncan says that officers tried to pull the 15 year old over after observing a number of unspecified traffic violations.

Sydney was taken to Peninsula Regional Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

The Salisbury Daily Times reports that he did not have a driver’s permit and was using a car that belonged to a family member.
