Growlers on Tap

growler, blogs.westword.com

Changes in Maryland’s alcohol laws could allow restaurants and bottle shops in Wicomico County to fill up containers – known as – growlers from any tap.

They would hold between 32 to 128 ounces and carry standard health warnings.

But, a growler must be specific to that restaurant or store.

The Salisbury Daily Times says that means an Evolution Craft Brewery growler could not be filled up at Market Street Inn.

A Kaye Kenny, chair of the Wicomico County Board of License Commissioners, said this is to protect businesses as well as to ensure the growlers meet federal legal requirements.

Another potential change in the Wicomico County Liquor Act of 2013 would move the time alcohol can be sold to 10 am for restaurants and golf course with a class B license
