DOVER, Del. (AP) - Gov. Jack Markell is leading a delegation to Israel with hopes of boosting Delaware's economic ties with the country.

Markell's office said Wednesday that the weeklong trip starts Friday and is aimed at generating interest in incorporating and doing business in Delaware.

Officials say most high-tech Israeli companies incorporated outside Israel are registered in Delaware, and that foreign-owned companies are the fastest growing part of Delaware's franchise tax revenue.

The Delaware delegation plans to meet with Israeli incubator businesses as well as established companies.

The delegation includes economic development director Alan Levin, a University of Delaware vice provost, members of the legal and business communities.
