Governor Hogan Won't Accept NRA Endorsement

Governor Larry Hogan says no to any endorsement from the National Rifle Association.

The Washington Post reports that the pledge was made during a gathering of students at Great Mills High School last week.

The school saw a teen shoot and kill his ex-girlfriend.

The Republican who is up for reelection this year said that he would reject such an endorsement if it was offered.

The NRA endorsed Hogan in 2014 when he made his first bid for the governorship.

But since then he has signed a number of gun control measures.

The students were planning their involvement in a gun-violence awareness rally in Annapolis this past weekend.
