DOVER, Del. (AP) - The state House has given final approval to a bill requiring members of Delaware's Public Service Commission to file financial disclosure statements for public review.
House members voted unanimously for the bill Thursday. The legislation was approved unanimously by the Senate last May and now goes to the governor.
The legislation adds the commissioners to a long list of other state officials who must file financial disclosure statements, including lawmakers, judges and cabinet officials.
The members of the Public Service Commission are appointed by the governor and confirmed by the Senate. They are charged with regulating investor-owned public utilities, providing cable, electric, natural gas, wastewater, water and telecommunications services.
