Eastern Shore animal waste technology projects is getting a boost from the state of Maryland.

The Department of Agriculture has awarded $2 million in grants as part of an effort to rein in and manage animal manure.

WBOC reports that Kilby Farm in Cecil County will receive $1.8 million for an anaerobic digester to provide reliable power for the farm.

Meanwhile, Planet Found Energy Development got $220-thousand for a soil blending and bagging system for their anaerobic digestion system.
