Delmarva Public Radio Transmitter Replacement

UPDATE:- The Transmitter replacement date has been moved.

During the week of September 19th, Delmarva Public Radio will have its aging and failing FM transmitters replaced with two brand new models.  These new transmitters will improve WSCL’s and WSDL’s signals, sound quality, and allow us to improve our on-air reliability as well.

During that week, our current transmitters we be decommissioned and removed to make room for the newer models. Both WSCL 89.5 FM and WSDL 90.7 will broadcast from temporary low-power transmitters during the week to fulfill our broadcast obligations to the FCC.

All work is expected to be complete by Friday, September 16th.  We apologize in advance for what may be a temporary loss of service, but hope you bear with us as we complete this important and long-awaited upgrade.

Chris Ranck is Delmarva Public Media's Executive Producer, Program Director and Automation Engineer.
