DOVER, Del. (AP) - Delaware prison officials are restricting inmate visits as a preventative health measure amid the current flu epidemic.

Officials say that starting Wednesday morning, prison visits will be suspended for any child under the age of 16.

Meanwhile, Department of Correction officials say they are working with the Division of Public Health and are treating all offenders with elevated temperatures and symptoms of the flu.  To date, 64 offenders have been treated with Tamiflu.

Officials also say workers are continually disinfecting living and treatment areas in prison facilities several times per day.
