DOVER, Del. (AP) - State officials are reminding Delaware drivers to share the road with motorcycles.

Officials with the Office of Highway Safety say there been eight motorcycle fatalities on Delaware roads this year, and more than 175 over the past decade.

While the number of fatalities this year is less than the same time last year, officials are reminding motorists and motorcyclists to see and be seen while on the road.

Officials say law enforcement agencies across the state will be patrolling high-crash roadways next weekend to ensure that motorists and motorcyclists are obeying traffic laws and sharing the road.

Agencies participating in the enforcement include police departments in Dover, Georgetown, Milford, Millsboro and Seaford and the Delaware State Police.
