Delaware Makes Drug Prices More Transparent

creative commons

A new law eliminates the so-called gag clause making it easier for pharmacists to tell patients in Delaware about the lowest prices for their prescriptions.

WBOC reports that the clauses could be used to keep patients from knowing about the cheaper medications.

Governor John Carney signed the legislation yesterday.

He said that he is trying to make the cost of medications for Delawareans more transparent with access to direct and clear information.

He added that includes the prices of prescription drugs.
