Crisfield Could Allow Golf Carts on Streets

creative commons

In Crisfield local government officials may allow you to use golf carts on the city streets.

The city council held its first reading of the new golf cart ordinance last night.

WBOC reports that City Manager Rick Pollitt said the town was becoming more of a tourist destination and that the carts would be a real convenience for visitors.

Users will still have to have a city permit a valid driver’s license, and obey all of the speed limits.

The carts will only be allowed on city streets.

City officials expect the carts to begin showing up in early November.
