It was a bird’s nest that caused all the trouble on Saturday night when hundreds of Wicomico County residents lost power.

The Choptank Electric Cooperative says it was able to get the number of affected customers down to 500 out of 11-thouand members by late Saturday afternoon.

The Salisbury Daily Times reports that the nest was found at Walston Switch substation located near Route 50 on the eastside of Salisbury.

A traffic signal at Walston Switch went out forcing Maryland State Police to take care of traffic.
