Summer is in full swing and the Ocean City Inlet Parking Lot is often full of cars.
But resort officials warn motorists not to lose their parking tickets because it could cost them.
Workers at the lot said that’s because they have no way of knowing how long someone has been at the lot. So, they said they’re forced to charge for a 24 hour period.
That’s $60 during the week and $72 on the weekends.
Supervisor Gary Masters told WBOC that the policy is discourage people from parking overnight and then claiming in the morning that they have lost their ticket.
