Beer Fest and Summit

Don Rush

Brews on the Beach returns on Saturday in Ocean City.

There will be more than 30 local brews at Hooper’s Crab House in the afternoon.

And it will be hosted by Shore Craft Beer and Fin City Brewing Company.

Among participants will be Evolution Craft Brewing, Tall Tales and 3rd Wave.

The Salisbury Daily Times reports that NASA Wallops Flight Facility B.I.E.R. home brewing club will be there to have their handiwork judged by VIP ticket holders.

The winner will see their recipe brewed by Fin City.

It will be available for tasting at the Shore Craft Beer Fest in late October and will be available at Hopper’s Tap House in Salisbury.

This is the 9th year for the Beach Festival that draws in tourists to get a taste of the local brews.

Meanwhile, today there will be a summit to look at the prospects for craft beer in Maryland.
