Allen Harim Cuts Ribbon for New Corporate Headquarters

Allen Harim logo

Allen Harim held a ribbon cutting ceremony for their new corporate headquarters in Millsboro.

Governor John Carney was there as the new 460-thousand square foot building was unveiled at what was once the former Vlasic pickle plant.

The new corporate office will also include 50-thousand square foot for a deboning facility.

That operation will employ around 165 people.

But WBOC reports that those across the street on Possum Point road worry about the smell and water contamination from such an operation.

CEO and President of Allen Harim told the television station that deboning takes a minimum of water and that the company has a state of the art wastewater treatment plant at Harbeson.

But residents are reminded of the water contamination issue that has involved Mountaire Farms in Delaware.
